Your pattern stays with you

SizeLight reads your PDF right here in your browser. The file is never uploaded, and we never see your pattern.

To learn whether SizeLight is useful, we count a few anonymous things, like “a PDF was opened” or “a size was picked”. Never the pattern’s text, its name, or its numbers.

Questions

Which PDFs does it work with?

PDFs with real, selectable text, which is most patterns you buy or download. If you can highlight words in your PDF app, SizeLight can read them.

Does it work with scanned patterns?

Not yet. A scan is a picture of a page, so there’s no text for SizeLight to read. We’d like to support scans later.

Does it work for crochet?

Often. Crochet patterns that list sizes like “ch 42 (46, 50, 54)” work the same way. If one doesn’t, tell me which.

What if a highlight looks wrong?

Tap the number and choose “Wrong highlight?”. It helps us improve. When SizeLight isn’t sure about a number, it outlines it and asks you first.

Is my pattern uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and read inside your browser, on your device. It’s never sent to us or anyone else.

Is there an app?

Not yet. I’ve started on an app for iPhone and Android so your patterns are with you wherever you knit. Join the waitlist and I’ll let you know when it’s ready.
